Tucked away in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of Palolem, but at the same time close enough to walk into Palolem and to the beach is Palolem Green Inn .

Our room even had a rocking chair!
The bathroom was huge! It had a western toilet, and also a sink and great hot water shower. The hot water was available whenever we needed it. There is also a balcony / dining area where we ate our breakfast (included in the price).

The dining area. We visited towards the end of the monsoon season and had a few heavy downpours – this is the reason that there are plastic sheets up in this photo. As far as we are aware these are removed once the monsoon season has finished, creating a much more open plan feel and you will also have great views over the surrounding countryside.
How to get there
It’s about a 15 minute walk from Palolem or the beach, or a 5 minute ride on a scooter or in an autorickshaw. The nearest railway station is Canacona, which is about 1.2 miles (1.93 km) away.
Facilities
When booking accommodation for more than one night, there are several boxes that we would like to be ticked:
- WiFi – preferably free.
- A laundry (and ironing) service.
- A safe or a secure locker.
- Clean toilets and a hot shower.
Palolem Green Inn ticked them all!
There is also a restaurant that serves reasonably priced meals and snacks.
We were met with by friendly staff with warm smiles, and a delicious welcome drink. The rooms in Palolem Green Inn are very spacious, modern, well furnished and clean. The rooms have air conditioning and also ceiling fans, allowing the room to be easily cooled so that you can have a comfortable nights sleep. There is also a flat screen TV and a desk.
We would like to thank Santosh and the rest of the staff for making us feel welcome and our stay enjoyable. Would we stay here again? Definitely.
